After Conrad Schwartz left the armed services in 1965, he found employment with a freight forwarding company that, at the time, was broadly diversified. One of its clients was Worldwide Transportation that was looking to open an office
in New Orleans. Conrad was asked to assume the task which he ultimately did. Within a short period
of time he bought out the other owners and eventually took over the organization.

With that move, he decided to focus his attention specifically on what he enjoyed best–the handling of bulk grain shipments.

From the outset Conrad established a reputation of the highest integrity. It is easy to label someone with such catch phrases, but the WTS name was already in full swing and new clients appreciated the honesty and reliability associated with the company name. Conrad’s continued unassuming and uncompromising quality has been passed along to his daughters, Christine Schwartz Taylor and Sherry Schwartz Jordan, who along with their mother, Linda and himself run WTS’s daily operations.
